Road Sawing

Cutting concrete floors has never been easier and with our various different types of road or floor saws our well trained technicians are able to cut through slabs to depths of up to 650mm. Concrete Cutting Sydney deploys many different types of saws ranging from the small 3-phase electric saws capable of taking 450mm diameter blades up to the big 72hp diesel powered road saws capable of taking up to 1500mm diameter blades. We generally use the electric saws when working inside buildings where fumes would pose a problem. Under open air conditions where no limitations apply, the petrol and diesel machines are used for cutting road surfaces or concrete slabs.

Road Sawing by Concrete Cutting Sydney

When you need Road Sawing:

  • Road saws with blade diameters from 300mm to 1500mm are ideal for providing expansion joints and loop detector joints and cutting concrete sections in concrete slabs, reinforced concrete and asphalt roads, up to 650mm deep, for removal and for concrete repair to slabs.

  • Emission free electrical units are suitable for working inside occupied buildings where floor sawing is required.

  • Cutting openings

  • Structural gaps

  • Cut break-lines for trench excavation

  • Expansion joints

  • Bridge section removal

  • Slab removal

  • Traffic detector channels

  • Drainage ducts

  • Crack inducers

With the ability to cut to 650mm in depth our road sawing machines can also cut flush to existing structures. The road saws can cut through virtually any material and are environmentally-friendly, being noise and fume-free. Our diamond road or floor saws are self-propelled and give an accurate, sharp cut in the concrete slab or asphalt base material.

Concrete Cutting Sydney is also equipped with small compact saws for cutting 10mm-15mm expansion joints and for those narrow or tight spots. Our operators are highly-trained ensuring cuts are created precisely where you want them; in applications such as expansion joints, openings in concrete slab floors and road maintenance. We have often used a number of machines simultaneously to increase output on contracts where there are time restraints, such as carriageway works in a lane rental situation or airports and railway works where there are usually very limited working times.
